Position Overview
The Receptionist plays a crucial role in delivering clerical support and serves as the initial point of contact for all visitors, both in person and over the phone, adhering to all relevant laws, regulations, and standards set forth by Life Care.
Qualifications and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a secretarial science program from an accredited institution or a minimum of six months of experience in a clerical capacity
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email communication
- Ability to make independent decisions when necessary
- Familiarity with the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing operations in a post-acute care environment
- Ability to implement and interpret departmental programs, goals, and policies
- Proficient in all competency areas, including patient rights, safety, and sanitation
- Maintain professional relationships with colleagues and vendors
- Uphold confidentiality of all proprietary and sensitive information
- Understand and adhere to company policies, including those related to harassment and compliance
- Exhibit integrity and professionalism by following Life Care's Code of Conduct and completing required compliance training
- Act as the first point of contact for guests and visitors, providing a friendly and professional greeting
- Efficiently operate the facility's phone and paging systems
- Demonstrate excellent customer service and a positive demeanor towards patients
- Assist in patient evacuation procedures when necessary
- Exhibit reliable and consistent attendance
- Utilize reasoning skills and sound judgment in various situations
- Communicate effectively and collaborate within an interdisciplinary team
- Engage in physical activities such as sitting, standing, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, stooping, walking, reaching, and moving throughout the workday
- Read, write, speak, and comprehend the English language
