JOB OVERVIEW

The Campus Coordinator role is a live-in position responsible for overseeing all aspects of the residential experience for students on campus. Building strong, compassionate relationships with residential students, founded on mutual respect and consistency, is crucial for success in this role. Campus Coordinators must adopt a proactive, hands-on approach to assist students in resolving conflicts and providing both disciplinary and moral guidance as necessary.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as in loco parentis, ensuring the overall welfare of our students in residence.
  • Create a safe, nurturing, structured, and comfortable environment for students.
  • Implement and uphold the program and school’s rules and policies.
  • Oversee daily operations of residential programming, including consistent supervision during residential and off-site activities.
  • Transport students to and from school, activities, and appointments using a company-owned van.
  • Assist with homework and monitor the academic progress of students.
  • Provide guidance and support to part-time Resident Assistants.
  • Monitor the duty phone and security system during overnight shifts, responding to emergencies as needed.
  • Manage specific aspects of campus operations, including:
    • Student programming, managing relationships with vendors and transportation services for campus supplies and meal programs.
    • Student services, communicating with faculty and staff regarding students' academic progress and attendance.
    • Student activities, coordinating evening and weekend events and managing campus social media.
    • Promote the residential program's image within the school and local community.
    • Report all residential issues to the Director of Campus Operations.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year university; a degree in Education, Counseling, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a house parent, resident assistant, or in a similar role is required.
  • Must possess a valid U.S. Driver's License and maintain a clean driving record, with the ability to drive a large company-owned van.
  • Availability to work weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts.
  • Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment, make efficient decisions, and solve problems effectively.
  • Resilient and flexible approach to addressing challenges.
  • Motivated and collaborative team player.
  • International and multicultural exposure is preferred; experience with English as a Second Language students is a plus.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Occasionally lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds across campus.
  • Frequently navigate within the residence hall to access various areas.
  • Regularly ascend and descend stairs to reach different parts of the building.
