Wellness Activity Coordinator

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Wellness Activity Coordinator to join our team at Kodiak Area Native Association. As a key member of our Wellness Center, you will play a vital role in promoting physical activity and healthy lifestyles among our village residents.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and execute group fitness activities, including walks, hikes, and fitness classes, tailored to the needs and interests of our village community.
- Collaborate with Wellness Center staff to leverage online tools and virtual platforms to enhance programming and increase accessibility.
- Apply evidence-based approaches to improve mobility, flexibility, strength, and overall well-being among participants.
- Monitor participant attendance and modify classes as needed to accommodate varying ability levels.
- Provide feedback to the Wellness Center Manager on programming and support needs for the village.
- Travel to Kodiak for Wellness Center trainings and collaborate with KANA Communications to promote classes.
- Maintain group fitness instructor certification through ongoing education and training.
- High school diploma or equivalent and a passion for group fitness and physical activity.
