POSITION OVERVIEW:
As the Vice President of Infrastructure Financing, you will be responsible for managing the execution and deployment of over $3 billion in new financing initiatives for various infrastructure projects and associated portfolio entities. This role necessitates ongoing collaboration and communication with lenders, external consultants, internal investment teams, capital markets, and executive leadership within our portfolio companies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) functions across the infrastructure domain.
- Conduct comprehensive market assessments and research, along with thorough due diligence on projects or companies.
- Maintain oversight throughout the entire lifecycle of each financing arrangement.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assist in the development of financial models in collaboration with investment teams and portfolio management.
- Prepare detailed information memorandums outlining potential investments for prospective lenders.
- Evaluate proposals and present informed recommendations to the executive team.
- Conduct research on capital markets for infrastructure asset acquisitions and financing transactions.
- Ensure adherence to CIM Capital Markets policies and procedures, including lender outreach and due diligence processes.
- Engage in strategic discussions regarding capital market requirements and provide regular updates to management teams.
- Review and analyze asset-level budgets and forecasts, aligning them with fund-level strategies.
- Perform financial analysis at the asset level to support fund-level business initiatives.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in investment banking or finance, with a focus on M&A, project financing, or transaction-oriented consulting.
- Experience across various infrastructure sectors, including digital, renewable energy, waste & water, and transportation, is preferred.
- Proficiency in financial modeling is essential.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- In-depth understanding of infrastructure capital markets.
- Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to meet realistic deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a strong motivation for results and a process-oriented mindset.
- Excellent organizational and communication capabilities.
