The role of a Speech Pathologist within the Children's Day Program is designed for dynamic and dedicated educational professionals who are passionate about supporting individuals with developmental challenges in a non-traditional classroom environment. Our Speech Pathologists benefit from continuous professional development and mentorship from certified behavior analysts and other experienced specialists, fostering significant career advancement opportunities.

Our educational programs are structured around a year-round calendar, providing ample time for personal and professional growth. This position offers a unique chance to gain invaluable experience in a classroom atmosphere while implementing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques.


Compensation: $54.92/hour

Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Speech/Language Pathology
  • Licensure in Speech/Language Pathology from NYSED
  • Certification in TSHH/TSSLD
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver speech and language therapy in accordance with required documentation (e.g., IEPs, IFSPs)
  • Ensure compliance with documentation standards as per the Children's Day Program protocols
  • Maintain accurate records in line with Federal, State, and County regulations
  • Uphold confidentiality and professionalism in all documentation practices
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to rearrange the environment for child safety, including moving objects weighing up to 20 lbs.
  • Capability to lift or transport items weighing 20 lbs. (e.g., mats)
  • Ability to pursue students over distances of up to 500 feet
  • Capacity to respond swiftly to emergencies, including fire alarms
  • Physical agility to kneel, twist, and bend as necessary
