Role Summary:

This temporary role is an integral part of the Flight Team within the Integrated Operations Division. The Staff Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting employees with various operational, administrative, and personnel-related tasks.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage incoming calls, address general inquiries, and assist visitors.
  • Provide assistance to the Flight Management Staff by completing special projects and additional tasks as directed by a Supervisor or Manager.
  • Handle reimbursement processing, assist in managing pilot leave requests (LTD/FMLA/MLOA/IOD), maintain personnel files, update iPads, manage webpage content, process emergency travel requests, and oversee uniform item issuance/logging, training hotel arrangements, parking hangtags, IDs, and SIDA badges.
  • Travel to and provide support for co-terminal and satellite stations as needed.
  • Collaborate effectively with various departments both within and outside the organization.
  • Complete special projects and other tasks as assigned by a Supervisor or Manager.

Required Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED equivalency.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with pilot collective bargaining agreements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of MS Publisher.
  • Experience with SABRE (DECS and RES).
  • Strong customer service skills, both over the phone and in person.
  • Ability to take initiative, prioritize tasks, work independently, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Typing speed of 25 to 49 words per minute.
  • Must pass FAA criminal background checks to qualify for unescorted access privileges to airport security identification display areas (SIDA), if applicable.
