Job Summary

AmTrust Financial Services, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Claims Examiner I to join our team. As a Claims Examiner I, you will be responsible for conducting thorough investigations and evaluations of insurance claims to ensure accurate and timely resolutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct prompt and independent reviews of insurance claims to determine coverage and liability.
  • Analyze complex claim data and make informed decisions regarding claim reserves and settlements.
  • Communicate effectively with insureds, claimants, and other stakeholders to gather information and resolve claims.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including legal counsel, to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure high levels of satisfaction and trust.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • 1+ years of claims handling experience, preferably in the insurance industry.
  • State licensure as required.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office suites and ability to learn technical materials.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance theory and practices, including investigation, evaluation, and negotiation.
