Embark on a rewarding career in construction defect liability claims adjusting with CCMSI As a Construction Defect Claim Associate I, you'll start your journey with comprehensive training in our Maitland, FL office, transitioning to a hybrid work model after the initial training period. This role is an essential first step within our Level Up Program, designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge needed for a successful career as a claims adjuster. This position is an hourly position.

Work Arrangement:

  • Initial Training: Required to work in the Maitland, FL office full-time for at least 3 months.
  • Post-Training: Hybrid position with the flexibility to work remotely 2 to 3 days per week after the initial training period.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide support to claim staff.
  2. Set up property damage appraisals.
  3. Set up car rentals.
  4. Summarize correspondence in the claim log notes as wells as file it in the appropriate claim, as directed by the designated claim adjuster.
  5. Photocopy claim documents, as needed as well as save documents into Claim Documents.
  6. Attach and summarize police reports.
  7. Process Documents in the Document Queue when needed.
  8. Process Bills in the Bill Queue as directed by the designated claim adjuster.
  9. Complete ISO indexing on BI claims.
  10. Review and release payments as directed by the designated claim adjuster.
  11. Compliance with service commitments as established by the team.
  12. Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience

Associates degree or two years related business experience required.

Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

Computer Skills

Proficient using Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Must pass Adjuster license exam as required for the respective jurisdiction(s).
