In this essential role, you will serve as the primary contact for patients and healthcare professionals, ensuring a seamless admissions experience and initiating patient care with professionalism and empathy.
Position DetailsThis is a full-time position with a hybrid work schedule, allowing for both in-office and remote work. The successful candidate will work a standard 40-hour week, with flexible hours from Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities- Facilitate the onboarding process for new patients transitioning from hospital discharge or company changes.
- Manage resupply orders for patients currently receiving services.
- Review patient records to confirm medical necessity for services as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Conduct insurance and benefit verifications, including obtaining necessary prior authorizations.
- Perform additional duties as required to support patient care.
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Bilingual in Spanish is essential.
- Experience with insurance payers is advantageous.
- Prior experience in patient admissions within a referral-based practice and customer service is highly preferred.
- Experience in a Home Medical Equipment setting is strongly favored.
- Familiarity with enteral therapy patients or pediatric enteral nutrition formulas is a plus.
This role requires the ability to communicate effectively, walk, and utilize hands for various tasks. Candidates should be able to lift files and office supplies, with occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
