Manufacturing Engineer II

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer II to join our team at General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for planning, designing, and constructing manufacturing facilities and related structures.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Improve Manufacturing Methods: Utilize your knowledge of product design, materials, and parts to develop, evaluate, and improve industrial manufacturing methods.
- Workforce Planning and Layout Design: Analyze and plan workforce utilization, space requirements, and workflow to design the layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
- Production Scheduling and Cost Estimation: Estimate production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions.
- Communication and Collaboration: Communicate manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, or other information to facilitate production processes and confer with vendors to determine specifications of products and arrange equipment, material purchase, and parts.
- Quality Evaluation: Evaluate products based on specifications and quality standards.
- Education: Associate's Degree in General Engineering or a specialized Engineering degree required. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Experience: 2-4 years of experience in a relevant function.
- Skills and Abilities: Oral and written communication skills, ability to meet deadlines, ability to work independently as well as part of a team, problem-solving skills, analytical thinking skills, design expertise, and leadership skills.
