Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to enhance our production capabilities at Vantage Point Recruiting. This role involves leveraging engineering principles to optimize manufacturing processes and ensure operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and implement process enhancements in designated areas utilizing Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Provide ongoing technical assistance for a continuous manufacturing environment.
  • Evaluate and strategize manufacturing projects and New Product Introduction (NPI) initiatives by collecting and structuring product and process specifications to formulate and execute project timelines.
  • Innovate and design new machinery for upcoming production frameworks.
  • Utilize engineering tools such as Design Reviews, PFMEAs, IQ/OQ, and Value Stream Mapping to uphold robust engineering standards.
  • Conduct root cause analyses for failure assessments and various data evaluation tasks, making informed, data-driven decisions.
  • Research, compile, and produce engineering documentation including Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), manufacturing protocols, training guides, and initial production workflows.
  • Prepare regular reports and deliver presentations to management and clients regarding specific projects.
  • Support the non-conformance management program and initiate preventive measures.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations.
  • Apply quality assurance standards to meet certification criteria in manufacturing applications.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in manufacturing settings.
  • Proficiency in GD&T, product or tool design, and engineering drawing approval processes.
  • Proven track record in technical problem-solving and project management.
  • Understanding of process equipment operational principles and capabilities.
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with industrial tools and machinery.
  • Interest in composite materials.
  • Background in thermal processing.
