Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Restaurant Assistant Manager to join our team at Master Concessionair. As a key member of our restaurant operations team, you will be responsible for assisting the Manager in all day-to-day restaurant operations, ensuring the highest level of customer service, and driving business results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Manager in overseeing restaurant operations, including BOH and FOH hiring, supervisor/employee development and training, performance documentation, and adherence to all MCA policies and procedures.
  • Ensure accurate tracking of revenues and cash accounts, and maintain a high level of food quality and presentation.
  • Responsible for ensuring the restaurant, market, and bar are always kept to a high level of cleanliness, and that all waste, transfers to other locations, promotional stock, breakages, and spillages are documented.
  • Monitor and ensure orientation, training, development, and performance management of supervisors and crew.
  • Assist staff when required at busy periods, and complete a weekly staff schedule to ensure fair distribution of hours to all staff.
  • Meet with problem performers regularly and discuss/document areas of improvement, and record any accidents/injuries/illnesses that occur.
  • Ensure all staff are punctual and attired correctly, and communicate staff performance issues, training, and development needs to GM on a regular basis.
  • Maintain a high level of service for all guests, and deal with complaints in an efficient and courteous manner.
  • Perform any other duties as directed by the GM, and maintain total accountability including labor cost, budgets, and projections.
Requirements
  • Minimum 1-2 years supervisory experience, preferably in full-service restaurants.
  • Knowledge of marketing techniques and impact on business results, and experience in guest relations, negotiations, and complaint handling.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and commitment to service of customers, staff, co-workers, and management.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability, high integrity and honesty, and high Work Ethic, passion, and commitment.
  • Ability to work full time hours to manage the operation, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
  • Demonstrated coaching and development skills, and ability to train and delegate.
  • Follow through and dependability, and adherence and modeling of all MCA policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge and commitment to safety and food sanitation, and Health Department approved Food Handler Manager Certification.
