We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Management Coordinator to join our team at the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. As a key member of our Public Health Laboratory, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety in our laboratory operations.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and expedite activities between various stakeholders to achieve project completion
- Assist in developing and monitoring progress towards PHL and Quality Management unit priorities
- Advise QM unit leadership and senior laboratory management on progress and barriers to achieving priorities
- Design and implement improvement projects for PHL and the Quality Management unit
- Ensure laboratory activities meet established regulatory standards through internal audits and testing
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A master's degree in an appropriate field of physical, biological, or environmental science or public health
- At least two years of experience in a responsible supervisory, administrative, or research capacity in the relevant field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and develop solutions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
