Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Hotel Engineer II to join our team at The Westin Hilton Head Island Resort & Spa. As a Hotel Engineer II, you will be responsible for maintaining the hotel's mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, as well as performing routine maintenance tasks to ensure the hotel's facilities are in good working order.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to and resolve guest repair requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and lubricating equipment, and visually inspecting tools and equipment.
  • Identify and operate shut-off valves for equipment and buildings, and maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed.
  • Communicate with guests and colleagues to resolve maintenance issues and ensure seamless operations.
  • Display proficiency in multiple categories, including air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and carpentry.
  • Use the Lockout/Tagout system before performing any maintenance work, and follow all company and safety policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent, and vocational or technical background.
  • At least 2 years of hotel engineering/maintenance experience.
  • Valid driver's license and Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) Certification.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds, and move up and down stairs and service ramps.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in general maintenance, exterior and interior surface preparation, and painting.
  • Supervisory experience is not required.
