Job Summary and Qualifications
The Registered Respiratory Care Specialist is responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered respiratory care in line with departmental standards and practices. This role is essential in the patient care team, performing diagnostic tests and therapeutic procedures while monitoring patients on both invasive and noninvasive mechanical ventilation.

We are looking for a proactive Registered Respiratory Care Specialist to assess and address the respiratory needs of our patients. You will create and implement tailored Respiratory Care Plans, ensuring the highest standards of care.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Operating acute care ventilators for mechanical ventilation.
- Maintaining accurate departmental records and entering data into hospital systems.
- Conducting procedures with compassion and attention to patient comfort.

Requirements:
- Current licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist in Florida.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association; ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required within six months of hire.
- Graduation from a CoARC-accredited Respiratory Care program.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, and moving equipment.
- Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work independently in high-pressure situations.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.

In this role, you will:
- Assess patients' respiratory status and document findings.
- Administer respiratory therapies, including oxygen and aerosol treatments.
- Assist in the placement of artificial airways and manage mechanical ventilation.
- Monitor patient responses and intervene as necessary during emergencies.

Qualifications:
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
- Neonate Resuscitation and PALS certifications must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
- Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy.
- A minimum of six months of relevant experience is required.
