Role Responsibilities
As a Respiratory Therapist, your role will involve coordinating and providing outstanding respiratory care to patients. Key duties will encompass conducting diagnostic evaluations, executing therapeutic interventions, and overseeing patients on mechanical ventilation.
Potential Responsibilities Include:
- Operating ventilators in acute care settings
- Maintaining accurate department and hospital documentation
- Performing procedures with compassion and professionalism
Qualifications for the Role
- Licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist in Florida
- Certification as a BLS provider from the American Heart Association
- Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Care program
- Ability to think critically and perform well under pressure
- Strong customer service skills
Core Duties in the Position
- Conducting assessments and diagnostic tests for patients
- Administering respiratory therapy treatments
- Assisting with airway management and mechanical ventilation
- Monitoring patient reactions and providing interventions as needed
Essential Qualifications
- Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support
- Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support
- State licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist
- Associate Degree in a relevant field
