Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with software development teams to streamline and enhance deployment workflows using Python, Kubernetes, and Ansible.
  • Refine CI/CD methodologies, primarily leveraging GitLab for efficient code integration and delivery.
  • Oversee and troubleshoot system performance challenges to guarantee optimal availability and resource utilization.
  • Employ ElasticSearch to elevate logging, monitoring, and analytical functionalities.
  • Contribute to the architectural design and framework of our AWS-centric infrastructure, prioritizing security and scalability best practices.
Essential Skills: GitLab, GitLab runners, Python, Kubernetes, and Ansible

Desirable Skills: ElasticSearch, AWS, and proficiency in System Administration or DevOps

Qualifications
  • Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline; a Master's degree in a Technical Field may substitute for experience.
  • Certification as a Cloud Systems Administrator or Developer.
  • Extensive background in software development, engineering, system architecture, and cloud systems management.
  • Expertise in scripting languages such as Perl, Python, or Ruby for automation purposes.
  • Prior experience managing large Cloud Systems and implementing automation scripts.
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance with a current polygraph is required.
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Strong command of Python, Kubernetes, and Ansible for infrastructure automation.
  • Hands-on experience with GitLab for version control and CI/CD processes.
  • Familiarity with ElasticSearch for log management and monitoring.
  • Understanding of AWS services and architecture.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.

Target Salary Range

$146,000 - $234,000 is the estimated salary range for this position based on experience and additional criteria.
