Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Certified Senior Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Walgreens. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting pharmacists with daily operations, and maintaining a clean and organized pharmacy environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service, answering questions and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist pharmacists with prescription filling, including retrieving, counting, and pouring pharmaceutical drugs.
  • Verify medication accuracy and check for potential interactions.
  • Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy environment, including restocking shelves and disposing of waste.
  • Assist with inventory management, including ordering and unpacking shipments of pharmaceuticals.
  • Support pharmacy staff in coordinating clinical services, including blood and urine sample collection and labeling.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with local medical providers and healthcare organizations.
  • Participate in training and development programs to maintain PTCB or ExCPT certification and stay up-to-date on the latest pharmacy practices and regulations.
Requirements
  • PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico).
  • One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
  • Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
  • Prefer prior work experience with Walgreens.
  • Prefer good math skills for accurate prescription filling.
  • Prefer good computer skills for efficient inventory management.
  • Prefer knowledge of store inventory control.
  • Prefer PTCB certification.
