Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team at Inova Health System. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing various duties related to stress testing, including patient preparation, administering exercise and pharmacological stress tests, IV insertion, ECG placement and interpretation, and Holter monitor placement. You will also be responsible for documenting patient information, communicating effectively with patients and colleagues, and working cooperatively to optimize job performance and foster productive working relationships.

Responsibilities:

* Assist radiation safety by maintaining safe practices
* Assist team and customers with prompt room turnover
* Recognize adverse clinical situations and help other personnel to do so
* Accurately implement computer orders for all Interventional Radiology functions
* Extend additional support as required to patients, family members, and other staff
* Support departmental cost savings strategies by assisting in efficient patient care
* Anticipate procedure flow and work with other team members to produce the highest quality care
* Demonstrate proper technique for injection of IV contrast, or other test-enhancing solution, under the American College of Radiology (ACR) guidelines

Requirements:

* Certification - Basic Life Support Upon Start; American Registered Radiologic Technologists registry eligible
* Licensure - Licensed Radiologic Technologist Licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Radiologic Technologist required only if the position is located in a free-standing center not affiliated with an Inova Health System Hospital
* Experience - None required
* Education - Vocational/Technical in the area of study in Radiologic Technology; Graduate of an accredited school of Radiography
