Radiation Therapist

Inova Health System is seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist to join our dynamic team. As a Radiation Therapist, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our radiation oncology department.
Job Responsibilities:- Communicate effectively with patients, families, medical staff, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Provide education and support to patients and families, tailoring your approach to meet their individual needs and levels of understanding.
- Position patients for treatment, verifying set-up and beam directional devices to ensure accurate delivery of radiation therapy.
- Act as a liaison between physicians and machine staff, utilizing your technical expertise to resolve complex treatment issues.
- Document patient records, treatment plans, and quality assurance results to maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
- Associate degree in Radiation Therapy or related field.
- American Registered Radiologic Technologist certification or registry eligibility within one year of employment.
- Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
