Job Title: Radiation Therapist

Inova Health System is seeking a Radiation Therapist to join our dynamic team. As a Radiation Therapist, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our radiation oncology department.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, medical staff, and healthcare team members.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families, ensuring they understand their treatment plans and options.
  • Position patients for initial treatment, verify set-up, and ensure accurate records of daily treatments.
  • Act as a liaison between physicians and machine staff, utilizing technical expertise for complex treatments.
  • Document any corrections in charts resulting from changes in treatment plans and detect unsatisfactory set-up and/or errors.
  • Perform daily quality assurance on linear accelerators, simulator, and Computed Tomography machines.
Requirements:
  • Associate degree in Radiation Therapy or Certification.
  • 2 years of experience as a Staff Therapist in a Radiation Therapy department, with experience in linear accelerators and patient simulation.
  • American Registered Radiologic Technologist certification required upon start.
  • VA License required at PROC (Woodbridge).
