Position Overview:

The Mortgage Closing Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting various operational channels. In this position, you will be instrumental in ensuring streamlined and effective processes that align with business objectives and enhance customer service. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Executing routine data entry and validation tasks.
  • Initiating third-party orders such as title, appraisal, hazard, flood certification, and credit checks.
  • Reviewing and validating loan documentation.
  • Managing routine communications through calls, emails, and chat responses.
  • Monitoring work queues and intervening as necessary.
  • Working with both Refinance and Purchase Loans.
  • Scrubbing loan files to ensure accuracy in taxes and insurance.
  • Aiming to close 8-10 loans daily.
  • Exhibiting a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment.

Work Schedule:

Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM.

Required Skills:

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in the mortgage industry, with expertise in loan processing, mortgage operations, and closing procedures. Proficiency in Encompass and loan servicing is essential.

Additional Qualifications:

- Prior experience in the mortgage sector is mandatory.

- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is advantageous (higher compensation available for bilingual candidates).

- A general understanding of applicable federal, state, and local mortgage regulations is preferred.

- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently as a team player.

- Proven ability to deliver timely and accurate information in a dynamic environment.

- Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and mathematical skills.

- Effective time management skills to ensure timely completion of tasks.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Negotiation skills with the ability to resolve issues effectively.

- Demonstrated proficiency with computers and common software applications (Microsoft, Google, etc.).
