About the Opportunity
Henry Ford Health is seeking a visionary leader to head its Pediatric Gastroenterology Division. As a key member of the Department of Pediatrics, this individual will be responsible for driving the development of centers of excellence in IBD, Nutrition, Celiac, Hepatobiliary and Pancreas, Airway, EOE and Food Allergy, Neurogastroenterology, and other areas. The successful candidate will have a strong track record of innovation, leadership, and academic excellence.
About the Department of Pediatrics
The Department of Pediatrics at Henry Ford Health is undergoing significant growth and expansion, with a focus on developing comprehensive pediatric services. The Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology is a key part of this effort, and the successful candidate will play a critical role in shaping its future. The department receives medical students and residents from Michigan State University and Wayne State University and participates in academic development and research with both entities.
Responsibilities
The Division Head will be responsible for leading the development of the Division, including clinical, academic, and research activities. This will involve working closely with the Department Chair, faculty members, and other stakeholders to achieve the department's goals. The successful candidate will also be expected to participate in the supervision and education of medical students and residents.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pediatric gastroenterology, with a proven track record of leadership and academic excellence. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders. A faculty appointment within the Department of Pediatrics, Michigan State University and Wayne State University is available, with a competitive salary and full benefits package.
