Key Qualifications: (Requirements)

  • A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline; an advanced degree (MBA, CPA, CFA) is preferred.
  • 5-7+ years of experience in a CFO or equivalent position within a commercial real estate private equity firm.
  • Experience in capital markets is highly desirable.

Core Responsibilities: (What You Will Do)

  • Oversee corporate performance reporting and ensure the achievement of key health metrics.
  • Gain a thorough understanding of DLP's acquisition criteria, underwriting guidelines, and financial models.
  • Supervise the performance of all funds.
  • Safeguard the organization against internal and external risks.
  • Actively participate in the credit committee, providing analysis for exit financing and ensuring leverage eligibility is factored into decisions.
  • Evaluate asset financials and develop financial models and documentation for lender submission.
  • Lead the collection of 4-10 term sheets per loan request and create a comparative debt matrix with recommendations for bridge, construction, and permanent loans.
  • Manage DLP's portfolio balance sheet, focusing on risk mitigation and identifying opportunities for supplemental financing and refinancing.
  • Facilitate lender due diligence and communication throughout the loan closing process, including leading lender checklist discussions.
  • Provide exit financing analysis for DLP loans as a lender.
  • Execute debt placement agreements with sponsors and offer debt placement services for DLP Elite members.
  • Oversee the capital markets directory.
  • Expand the Loan Sale/Securitization Platform, including the rollout of DLP Lending's multifamily debt platform.
  • Monitor leverage facilities (including securitizations) and pledged assets for potential curtailments, including maturities/extensions, loan duration, delinquencies, LTV ratios, and other contingent repayment-triggering events.
  • Enhance collateral stratifications and develop executive-level dashboards and reports for the performance of leverage facilities and securitization programs.
