Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain effective relationships with clinical and academic leadership to ensure seamless implementation of clinical programs.
- Secure clinical sites and partnerships to provide students with high-quality learning experiences.
- Collaborate with course faculty to coordinate and arrange preceptorship experiences.
- Facilitate communication and coordination between faculty, students, staff, and clinical sites.
- Identify and develop educational affiliation agreements and placements with clinical facilities.
- Orient faculty to clinical supervision roles and provide support as needed.
- Monitor performance of supervising clinical faculty and provide feedback.
- Disseminate student clinical requirements and act as a resource for students with clinical issues.
- Schedule, track, and assist with clinical placement processes.
- Evaluate students' readiness for clinical placements.
- Determine clinical placements and schedules for nursing students.
- Assist faculty with skills evaluation and provide support as needed.
- Engage in lifelong learning and professional development.
- Engage in community service and participate in national/international professional organizations.
- Maintain clinical/professional experience in the field of accreditation of undergraduate and graduate-level programs.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing or a related field and qualification as a nursing educator required.
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience required as a registered nurse.
- Unencumbered NYS license as a registered nurse.
- Excellent communication, organizational, teaching, leadership, and time management skills.
- Outstanding computer skills, including proficiency in Blackboard, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated commitment to promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion in an educational environment.
- Master's degree preferred.
Hofstra University offers a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $105,000, a collegial and inclusive culture, and a benefits program that includes generous paid time off, paid holidays, tuition remission for employees and eligible dependents, and a retirement plan with University contributions.
