Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Facility Support Tech to join our team at the Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist Regional Business Services Officers in handling and resolving facility issues, including monitoring and assigning work tasks.
  • Monitor and maintain records, files, and reports for all transactions, including inventory activities and data entry.
  • Perform receptionist, switchboard, warehouse, and mailroom/copy center duties, including processing shipping requests and providing security permissions.
  • Develop and maintain reports for regional facilities, contracts, and leases, and respond to requests for facility-related information.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external customers, including staff, contractors, and vendors.
  • Assist in office moves, physical inventory, and warehouse operations, and provide basic technical assistance to others.

Requirements:
  • Knowledge of modern office practices, procedures, and office machines/equipment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, and prepare concise reports.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to operate motor vehicles, including cargo trucks and vans, and lift, pull, push, and carry 50 lbs.

Working Conditions:
  • Work on a regular and predictable schedule, with occasional overtime and travel required.
  • Work in a fast-paced office environment, with frequent interruptions and deadlines.

Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required, with some college coursework or certification in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a related field, with experience in facilities management and administration preferred.
