About the Role

We are seeking a skilled technician to engage in a rewarding career that involves hands-on assembly and operation of advanced testing platforms that support the U.S. Nuclear Navy. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Constructing, installing, maintaining, repairing, calibrating, and troubleshooting electronic test equipment, circuitry, and process control/data acquisition hardware in compliance with the National Electric Code and other relevant standards.
  • Maintaining and troubleshooting mechanical test equipment within a dedicated testing environment.
  • Participating in the routine installation and assembly of experimental test facilities and components.
  • Collaborating closely with peers, engineers, contractors, maintenance personnel, and management to ensure the effective operation and maintenance of laboratory equipment and local infrastructure.
  • Monitoring data acquisition during standard facility operations, interpreting instrument readings, and validating instrument performance based on calibration and operational conditions.
  • Ensuring facility operations align with documented test plans, procedures, and operational guidelines.
  • Qualifying as an operator on all test hardware within the work location, including supporting shift work as necessary.
  • Assembling and installing complex test equipment to achieve specified operational conditions.

Required Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma or equivalent, along with a minimum of four years of relevant experience; or an Associate's degree in a related field; or Journeyman's papers in a related discipline.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in troubleshooting complex technical systems.
  • Familiarity with PLC and data acquisition systems for monitoring and controlling complex fluid and mechanical systems.
  • A strong technical background in both electrical and mechanical systems.

Pay Range

The annual salary for this position ranges from $55,000 to $85,400, based on experience and qualifications.
