The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program (NNPP), focusing on the digital transformation initiatives across various engineering teams. This position requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in model-based systems engineering to facilitate the implementation of cutting-edge digital strategies throughout the product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the initiation of model-based systems engineering efforts across diverse teams and organizations.
- Provide training and strategic coaching in MBSE to both internal teams and external naval stakeholders.
- Collaborate with key NNPP organizations to prioritize MBSE infrastructure and training that aligns with project requirements.
- Communicate effectively with senior leadership regarding technical and project-related matters.
- Stay informed about emerging technologies in the digital engineering field.
- Travel may be required for project-related activities.
- Comprehensive knowledge and experience with engineering tools relevant to digital transformation.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in model-based systems engineering and digital engineering.
- Proficiency in creating virtual models of physical systems and familiarity with data management strategies.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in engineering or a related field.
- Active DOE or DOD clearance is required.
- A proactive attitude and eagerness to learn new technologies.
- Experience in implementing technology solutions across an organization.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
- Experience with Product Lifecycle Management tools, particularly PTC Windchill and CAD tools like PTC Creo.
- Background in Model-Based Design.
- Some knowledge of IT systems is advantageous.
