Job Title: Director Credit Risk Analysis

Discover Financial Services is seeking a highly skilled Director of Credit Risk Analysis to join our team. As a leader in credit risk, you will be responsible for identifying, monitoring, and mitigating real estate collateral valuation risk for Discover Home loans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement credit policies to ensure adherence to valuation guidelines and regulations.
  • Lead a risk-based strategy to optimize valuation accuracy and efficiency.
  • Validate model usage in valuations and lead a governance program to provide oversight for home lending.
  • Monitor customer complaints related to appraisals and identify emerging risks.
  • Stay up-to-date with macroeconomic and external valuation trends to identify emerging risks.
  • Work closely with business partners to communicate credit requirements and oversight monitoring results.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or Economics.
  • 8+ years of experience in Analytics, Consulting, Financial Services, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Real Estate/Collateral Valuation experience, including regulations, models, quality control, valuation policies, and strategies.
  • 10+ years of experience in Analytics, Consulting, Financial Services, or a related field.
