Position Summary
The Market President is entrusted with complete P&L accountability for a specified market and serves as the primary leader for all key partnerships within that market. This role requires effective collaboration and influence with both internal and external stakeholders. The Market President directs sales and operational activities to ensure both profitability and superior operational outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enhance market performance to achieve profitability and operational excellence.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives and the adoption of innovative technologies and product offerings.
  • Formulate and execute a strategic plan to communicate objectives, strategies, opportunities, and achievements within the market.
  • Provide leadership to ensure best practices, strategic objectives, and performance benchmarks are consistently implemented across all locations.
  • Support the market in initiatives aimed at increasing sales and improving profit margins.
  • Analyze and review monthly operational results for all market locations.
  • Oversee the annual budgeting process for the market.
  • Identify and direct growth opportunities, including potential acquisitions and diversification of product lines.
  • Lead, develop, and mentor the market management team.
  • Foster a culture of respect and camaraderie through effective communication and an open-door policy.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related field is preferred.
  • Over 10 years of experience in a progressively responsible senior management position.
  • Extensive experience (10+ years) in the building materials industry or a related sector, with expertise in operations, sales, purchasing, analysis, customer relations, and strategic planning.
