Overview

The Family Crisis Therapist position represents the initial level within the family crisis therapy career path, encompassing a comprehensive array of critical responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engages in intervention during family crisis episodes.
  • Conducts continuous clinical evaluations and therapeutic interventions.
  • Formulates and executes treatment strategies.
  • Monitors progress and suggests suitable methods for ongoing functional enhancement within the family unit.
  • Facilitates individual and family therapy sessions.
  • Documents clinical findings and tracks progress towards family and client objectives.
  • Offers continuous consultation to fellow professionals.
Qualifications

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS for Family Crisis Therapist

Candidates must possess education, training, and/or experience that demonstrate proficiency in the following areas:
  1. A Bachelor's degree or higher in Behavioral or Social Sciences or a related discipline.
  2. A minimum of one year of experience in crisis intervention.
  3. At least three years of experience in case management, including assessing, planning, developing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating services to address individual human service needs.
