About the Role

St. John's Hospital is seeking a skilled Certified Nursing Assistant to join our Behavioral Health team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary treatment team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
  • Provide basic nursing care to non-critical patients, including vital sign monitoring and medication administration.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment, adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
  • Observe and record patient information pertinent to the treatment plan, reporting to the staff RN and other members of the treatment team.
  • Assist patients with physical and emotional needs, responding to emergencies and working collaboratively with the clinical team.
Requirements
  • Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire, required.
  • Current BLS certification upon hire and maintain current.
  • Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
  • Minimum six months' previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician's office preferred.
