Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

As a Diesel Mechanic, your primary focus will be on maintaining and repairing school buses to ensure their safety and readiness. Your main duties will include:

  • Conducting preventive maintenance, safety inspections, and annual maintenance checks.
  • Diagnosing and repairing various vehicle systems, including brakes, suspensions, drivetrains, and transmissions.
  • Completing work orders with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Providing mobile emergency services as needed.
Qualifications
  • Valid driver's license is required; willingness to obtain a CDL during employment is essential.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in automotive or diesel maintenance and repair, or relevant technical education.
  • Possession of a personal mechanic's tool set is necessary.
  • Willingness to engage in the ASE certification program, with training and bonuses provided.
  • Must comply with DOT drug testing regulations as a safety-sensitive position.
