JOB SUMMARY

The role involves the safe transportation of materials from client locations to designated destinations for processing or disposal. Responsibilities include loading and unloading materials using commercial trucks and/or heavy/agricultural equipment, which may involve tankers and end dump trailers in off-road settings.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Maintain a daily truck log and submit end-of-day mileage reports.
  2. Conduct daily inspections and perform preventative maintenance on vehicles and equipment.
  3. Adhere to all DOT, state, local, and internal regulations, procedures, and policies.
  4. Operate vehicles and equipment safely at all times.
  5. Execute loading, unloading, and timely delivery of materials to approved destinations.
  6. Travel between job sites as required.
  7. Ensure cleanliness of bio-solids from vehicles and equipment before leaving work sites.
  8. Assist with shop cleanup, maintenance, and setup of equipment/tools.
  9. Keep accurate operational records.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

  1. Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  2. Proficient in safely operating heavy equipment.
  3. Ability to reverse vehicles and equipment accurately.
  4. Capability to memorize routes and follow directions efficiently.
  5. Basic maintenance skills for vehicles and equipment.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

A High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.

A valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A is mandatory, with a preference for a Tanker Endorsement. Training for obtaining a CDL is available.

A minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial driving or operating heavy/agricultural equipment is necessary.

A clean driving record is essential, with no serious violations or accidents in the past 5 years, and no DWI/DUI in the last 10 years.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The role involves sitting, climbing, balancing, reaching, standing, walking, and lifting up to 75 lbs., as well as talking, hearing, and seeing.

Workers may be exposed to outdoor environmental conditions with limited protection from weather elements.

Exposure to atmospheric conditions that may affect the respiratory system or skin, including fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases, or poor ventilation, is possible.

Workers may encounter various physical hazards, including proximity to moving mechanical parts, vehicles, electrical currents, working at heights, and exposure to high temperatures or bio-solids.

This position requires travel and may involve overtime.
