Position Overview: In the role of Vice President of Operations, you will oversee the efficiency and effectiveness of designated business operations. Your responsibilities will include the strategic management of resources, service distribution to clients, and system analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure commitment to results across all areas of responsibility, including but not limited to: Client Retention and Satisfaction, Financial Performance, Regulatory Compliance, Purchasing Standards, Culinary Programs, Human Resources Management, and Marketing Initiatives.
  • Drive business performance as indicated by the company scorecard.
  • Foster relationships at all organizational levels.
  • Identify and address client needs.
  • Communicate account progress and new company initiatives to clients.
  • Conduct and/or oversee satisfaction surveys for customers, clients, and associates.
  • Regularly visit clients and facilities.
  • Deliver corporate communications and priorities to regional team members and clients.
  • Build a high-performing and results-oriented team within the region.
  • Maintain effective communication with all team members.
  • Ensure direct reports take necessary actions to resolve issues at client units that do not meet corporate satisfaction standards.
  • Develop and monitor realistic budgets and forecasts.
  • Ensure the region meets financial performance and client forecasts.
  • Participate in the sales process by collaborating with the pre-proposal site survey team, assisting in presentations, negotiations, and final contract approvals.
  • Ensure Operations Team members fulfill their responsibilities effectively.
  • Conduct audits at all facilities, including Financial, Contractual, Sanitation, Food Safety, and Human Resources audits.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent professional experience.
  • 12-15 years of experience in upscale food service, including 10 years in management and 5-7 years in multi-unit management.
  • Experience in personnel management, including hiring, supervision, evaluation, and succession planning.
  • Ability to multitask while maintaining focus amid constant interruptions.
  • Proficient in making business decisions based on financial reports and data.
  • Knowledgeable in HACCP controls and proper food storage and usage.
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • ServSafe or Department of Health certification is a plus.
  • Able to read and interpret business records and statistical reports.
  • Capable of analyzing and interpreting policies set by administrators.
