Job Title: Building Materials Outside Sales

As a Building Materials Outside Sales Representative, you will be responsible for generating and securing sales of building materials with new and existing customers to increase company profitability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Promote and sell building materials to new and existing customers.
  • Facilitate customer product selection and provide expert advice on building materials.
  • Service existing accounts with custom products, time, and information.
  • Assist customers with product selection and provide recommendations.
  • Prepare and communicate price quotations, sale terms, delivery dates, and service obligations to customers.
  • Estimate materials from customer-provided blueprints.
  • Resolve customer complaints and issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist with accounts receivable collection.
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance sales skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet sales targets.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
  • Previous experience in outside sales or a related field is preferred.
Work Environment:

As a Building Materials Outside Sales Representative, you will work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, interacting with customers, contractors, and other stakeholders. You will be required to work in both indoor and outdoor settings, occasionally lifting/moving objects up to 100 pounds, standing, and walking.
