Job Summary

This role plays a vital part in supporting the qualified professional in delivering high-quality education to students individually and in groups. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with lesson plans, monitoring student progress, and maintaining a safe and healthy learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Classroom Preparation: Prepare the classroom to promote a conducive learning environment, ensuring safety guidelines are met at all times.
  • Lesson Coordination: Collaborate with the licensed professional to coordinate lessons and daily classroom activities, providing support as needed.
  • Co-Teaching: Assist the qualified professional in co-teaching lessons, leading small groups or individual instruction, and reviewing classwork.
  • Student Support: Engage with children to enhance their learning experience, supervise students in and out of the classroom, and attend to their physical, personal, academic, and emotional needs.
  • Clerical Duties: Perform various clerical tasks, such as tracking student attendance, typing, filing, photocopying, and grading tests and homework, as required.
Requirements
  • Secondary Education: Secondary school diploma or equivalent required; a Bachelor's degree advantageous.
  • Experience: Proven work experience as a Paraprofessional or similar role, preferably in the Mental Health field.
  • Skill Set: Basic knowledge of childhood growth and development, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and recent first aid and CPR certifications.
  • Other Requirements: Ability to maintain HIPAA standards of privacy and confidentiality, experience working with children and special needs students, and professionalism, confidentiality, and organization.
Benefits and Salary

The estimated annual salary for this role is $55,000-$65,000, depending on qualifications and experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
