  • Explore new and existing market segments to boost sales and market presence.
  • Acquire a solid understanding of branch and regional profit and loss factors, including pricing services and calculating desired profit margins.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in solid waste product and equipment pricing, costs, and applications.
  • Provide accurate pricing quotes and credit terms to potential clients, preparing sales contracts with necessary approvals.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in customer needs analysis and retention strategies, particularly in industrial compaction applications.
  • Prepare and organize impactful sales presentations for major accounts, effectively showcasing products and services.
  • Stay informed about competitor activities and market trends.
  • Assist in identifying and implementing price adjustments for underperforming accounts.
  • Conduct waste stream analyses to estimate volumes and identify recyclable or special handling requirements.
  • Participate in business meetings, conferences, and community events to enhance the company's visibility.
  • Build and maintain relationships with large clients and governmental entities, including bid preparation.
  • Support the identification and acquisition of potential business candidates.
  • Adhere to all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Experience or knowledge in the solid waste sector is preferred.
  • Two to three years of sales experience with a strong grasp of sales methodologies.
  • Valid driver's license is required.
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Adept at reading and interpreting business documents and regulations.
  • Strong writing skills for reports and business correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to inquiries from various stakeholders.
  • Competence in basic mathematics and problem-solving.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Physical and Mental Demands:

  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
  • Visual acuity for close and distance vision tasks.

Working Conditions:

  • Job involves extended periods of driving and potential exposure to various weather conditions.
  • Noise levels may vary from moderate to loud.
