Key Responsibilities:
  • Support ITAM Lifecycle Tracking
  • Identify and implement IT asset management initiatives to address compliance, process, and tool gaps
  • Analyze and design Hardware Asset Management and Software Asset Management processes
  • Lead efforts to create, analyze, track, and manage all IT assets from acquisition to decommissioning
  • Manage the lifecycle of all IT assets and establish model categorization standards
  • Enter and maintain information to address budgeting, software compliance & inventory, contracts, and cost
  • Assist in the development of reporting to address management requirements
  • Champion policies and standards related to software asset management
  • Partner with University stakeholders to catalogue University owned software
  • Evaluate licensing options and provide recommendations
  • Build and manage complex licensing models
  • Manage software assets within the IT Asset Management lifecycle
  • Enforce compliance with the university's asset management processes and policies
  • Create lifecycle and budgeting calendars for leadership review
  • Process purchase orders according to policy and within established service level agreements
Requirements:
  • Skilled in asset management principles and processes
  • Experience working with a Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and supporting business services
  • Understanding of software publishers' licensing models and deployment rights
  • Experience managing software license agreements and entitlements
  • Strong customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Strong attention-to-detail and follow-up skills
  • Highly motivated and motivating team player with the skills and abilities to manage changing priorities
  • Proven ability in designing, delivering, and improving asset lifecycle management processes
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree preferably in information systems, MBA, or relevant advanced degree
  • Certifications in SAM, IAITAM, ITIL, CSAM, ISO, CITAM, CHAMP, or CAMP
