Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician Team Lead to join our team at Mass General Brigham. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and experienced pharmacy technician to take on a leadership role and contribute to the success of our pharmacy department.

About the Role

This position will supervise the day-to-day activities of all Certified Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacy Interns/Co-ops, ensuring that they are trained and equipped to provide high-quality care to our patients. The successful candidate will also be responsible for developing and participating in technician-related quality assurance activities, including controlled substance auditing and clinic inspections.

In addition to their technical skills, the ideal candidate will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders, including pharmacists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Supervise and train pharmacy technicians and interns/co-ops, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
  • Develop and implement quality assurance programs, including controlled substance auditing and clinic inspections, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Responsible for scheduling and staffing of pharmacy technicians and interns/co-ops, ensuring adequate coverage at all times.
  • Participate in performance improvement activities, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our pharmacy operations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or related field preferred, but not required.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience as a pharmacy technician, with at least 3 years of supervisory experience.
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPT) certification required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
Estimated Salary

$83,000 - $105,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
