Position Overview:

The Senior Project Engineer will undertake engineering responsibilities in the planning, design, and supervision of construction operations. This role involves making critical decisions and adjustments on-site.

This position requires travel up to 75% of the time, with the remainder based in our office.

Educational Background:

· Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.

Professional Experience:

· Minimum of seven years in heavy civil construction.

· Familiarity with change order processes and management.

Essential Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Capability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Able to thrive in high-pressure environments while meeting goals.
  • Proficient in various software applications, including CAD, Blue Beam, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience in drafting technical proposals, including methodologies, timelines, and cost estimates.
  • Advanced skills in construction software.
  • Exceptional technical writing and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze project proposals and plans to assess timelines, budget constraints, and resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with project teams to define work plans and assign responsibilities.
  • Oversee project personnel to ensure adherence to schedules and budgets.
  • Prepare status reports for stakeholders.
  • Design temporary structures in compliance with industry standards using design software.
  • Coordinate project activities with internal teams and external partners.
  • Assist in the overall management of project safety, performance, and quality.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules.
  • Supervise project operations in line with company policies and regulations.
  • Engage with estimating teams during project procurement phases.
  • Act as a Quality Control/Quality Assurance representative as needed.
  • Manage subcontractor relationships.

Work Environment:

· Outdoor work in varying weather conditions.

· Use of personal protective equipment as required.

· Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.

· Potential for extended periods outdoors in diverse conditions.

· Travel required on various modes of transportation.
