POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a dedicated Senior Formulation Chemist to join our dynamic Product Development Team. This role is pivotal in the formulation and effective delivery of groundbreaking molecules within our personal care product line. You will be tasked with enhancing the solubility and delivery of challenging compounds, ensuring our products meet the highest standards of efficacy and consumer satisfaction.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Enhance the formulation and delivery of poorly soluble compounds through various optimization techniques.
- Design and implement methods to assess and validate formulation improvements.
- Review and refine existing methodologies while innovating new approaches for solubility and stability enhancement.
- Oversee the management of materials, instruments, and data analysis across multiple projects.
- Collaborate with external partners on research projects related to formulation and stability.
- Continuously improve existing processes to facilitate data-driven decision-making and accelerate product development stages.
- Establish and standardize protocols for synthesis and scale-up processes.
- Stay informed on the latest trends in chemistry and pharmaceutical sciences to integrate new technologies into our research.
- Collaborate with leadership to present innovative concepts and strategies.
- Mentor and support team members in their professional development.
- Promote a culture of creativity and innovation within the team.
QUALIFICATIONS
- PhD or MD/PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related field.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in chemistry or related disciplines, with at least 4 years focused on formulation and delivery methods.
- In-depth knowledge of organic chemistry and contemporary pharmaceutical techniques for enhancing solubility.
- Proficient in industry-standard analytical methods and experimental techniques.
- Strong work ethic with a commitment to accountability and project ownership.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and a keen interest in tackling complex challenges.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with diverse stakeholders.
- Team-oriented with a willingness to support company-wide initiatives.
