Client Overview:

The client is a renowned biomedical research institution that translates biological discoveries into novel therapeutic strategies. They require a Chemist with a strong background in organic chemistry and proficiency in modern synthesis and purification techniques.

Position Overview:

The Chemist will be part of the medicinal chemistry team, responsible for synthesizing, isolating, and purifying novel small molecules under the direct supervision of senior scientists. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in organic chemistry, with proficiency in modern synthesis and purification techniques.

Responsibilities:
  • Synthesize, isolate, and purify novel small molecules to advance multiple early-stage drug discovery projects.
  • Maintain thorough and timely documentation of experimental work in electronic lab notebooks.
  • Collaborate with supervisors to analyze and interpret experimental results, and prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for the chemistry team.
  • Work closely with interdisciplinary team members and external collaborators to achieve project goals.
Qualifications:
  • 0 to 2 years of research experience in organic chemistry or medicinal chemistry is required.
  • Proficiency in single and multi-step chemical synthesis.
  • Familiarity with modern chromatography techniques for purification.
  • Experience analyzing LCMS and NMR spectra to support compound characterization.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively in a dynamic research environment.
Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a closely related field is required.
