Job Summary:

Draper Labs is seeking a highly skilled Senior Immunologist to join our Bioengineering Division. As a key member of our team, you will apply your expertise in immunology to develop innovative solutions for national security and healthcare applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as an immunology subject matter expert for interdisciplinary teams, including biologists, engineers, and chemists.
  • Generate bold ideas for immunological and biological applications to solve complex problems.
  • Support business development efforts through proposal writing and customer outreach.
  • Plan and execute experiments with Draper's novel in vitro platform technologies.
  • Lead the analysis, reporting, and presenting of experimental data.

Qualifications:

  • PhD in Immunology, Microbiology, or related field.
  • Experience with standard immunological assays, such as flow cytometry, ELISA, and immunofluorescence staining.
  • Experience with primary cells or tissues, including blood components and cell culture differentiation methodologies.
  • Ability to solve complex problems with minimal supervision and adapt to changing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Several years of postdoctoral experience in a laboratory/R&D setting.
  • Prior experience in the biotechnology industry.
  • Experience writing innovative R&D proposals and generating intellectual property.
