Position Overview:

As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will deliver nursing care under the guidance of physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Clinic Nurse, your essential duties will include:

  • Collecting, verifying, and documenting patient health histories.

  • Ensuring patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations.

Performance Expectations:

Knowledge:

  • Understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
  • Familiarity with healthcare systems, regulations, and documentation standards.
  • Knowledge of medical supplies and equipment necessary for patient care.
  • Basic understanding of laboratory procedures and infectious disease management.
Skills:
  • Ability to follow written and verbal medical instructions accurately.
  • Proficiency in initiating emergency procedures when necessary.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Competence in computer usage, with a typing speed of at least 40 WPM.
Abilities:
  • Manual dexterity for performing medical treatments.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues and diverse patient populations.
  • Mathematical skills for calculating medication dosages.

Qualifications:

  • Current LPN or RN licensure.
  • Experience with AllScripts EMR is preferred.
  • Previous clinic experience is advantageous.

Physical and Environmental Requirements:

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical capacity to sit and perform data entry for extended periods.
  • Daily requirements include standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Occasional exposure to communicable diseases and biohazards.
  • This position is classified as safety-sensitive.

Work Schedule:

Normal working hours are typically Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with variations based on departmental needs.
