Position Summary

The Nighttime Guest Services Specialist is pivotal in ensuring guest satisfaction during the evening hours. This role involves addressing guest needs and orchestrating memorable evening activities that enrich their stay. The Specialist also collaborates with various departments to ensure seamless transitions from day to night operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee post-dinner guest services, including bartending and transportation.
  • Address late-night inquiries and requests.
  • Welcome and assist late-night arrivals, ensuring a warm introduction to our services.
  • Compile guest service logs for daily operational meetings.
  • Design and facilitate evening recreational programming, such as guided hikes and game nights.
  • Provide guests with information about amenities, activities, and local attractions.
  • Manage requests for wake-up calls, room service, and other arrangements.
  • Support dining staff in concluding dinner service.
  • Assist with light food preparation for late-night snacks.
  • Help with the setup and breakdown of special events.
  • Respond to incoming phone inquiries.
  • Prepare personalized welcome cards for guests.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to room amenities and technology.
  • Update guest profiles with preferences and specifications.
  • Transport guests to various hotel facilities and activities.
  • Deliver items such as messages and gifts to guests.
  • Conduct routine inspections of the property for cleanliness and safety.
  • Maintain a log of guest requests and significant activities for reporting purposes.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Assist in preparing the dining area for breakfast service.
  • Support grounds maintenance during winter conditions.
  • Help with cleaning tasks in common areas.
  • Perform light detailing of vehicles as needed.
  • Assist with the setup and takedown of seasonal decorations.
  • Check guest rooms for cleanliness and adherence to requests.
  • Conduct basic repairs and maintenance as required.
  • Support other departments with various tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated customer service skills with a proactive and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage details effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Familiarity with hotel facilities and services.
  • Proven ability to follow through on tasks and maintain attention to detail.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 40 lbs occasionally.
  • Sound judgment in decision-making related to guest services.
  • Knowledge of safe operation of equipment and vehicles.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing demands and schedules.
Education and Training:
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
Working Conditions:
  • Overnight shifts requiring self-motivation and independence.
  • Dynamic work environment with varying demands.
  • Physical tasks involving standing, walking, and occasional lifting.
  • Collaboration with team members and other departments.
  • Long shifts with weekend and holiday availability required.
