Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Vascular Imaging Specialist to join our team at Ascension. As a Diagnostic Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform vascular diagnostic procedures to detect peripheral vascular disease or obstructions.
  • Evaluate patient for presence of peripheral vascular disease by selecting most effective procedures within regulatory and compliance guidelines.
  • Perform appropriate diagnostic procedures, record patient test results and report results.
  • Monitor patient comfort and safety during tests, alerting physicians to abnormalities or changes in patient responses.
  • Maintain adequate supplies and verify all equipment is in proper working condition; report deficiencies and failures.
  • Position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
  • Ensure all activities comply with regulatory agency standards.
  • Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents to PACS.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly department.
Requirements
  • BLS Provider certification required.
  • One or more of the following certifications required: Cardiographic Tech specializing in Vascular Interpretation, Radiologic Technologist specializing in Sonography, or Sonography Tech specializing in Vascular Sonography.
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience or Associate's degree/Technical degree or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
