As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist at Heart Hospital of Austin, you will play a critical role in gathering diagnostic information through the use of radioactive materials and sophisticated radiation detecting equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform Nuclear Medicine exams in a timely manner, documenting required information and communicating with primary physicians and direct care staff.
- Coordinate and assist patient care in collaboration with other healthcare team members.
- Evaluate patient condition to adequately perform radiology exams.
- Consult with staff as necessary to meet patient and family needs.
- Ensure availability and safe utilization of clinical equipment and supplies.
- Perform Point of Care procedures according to established policy and procedure.
- Graduate from an approved Joint Review Committee on Education Program in Nuclear Medicine Technology.
- Certified by the Texas Department of State Health Services as a Medical Radiologic Technologist.
- Certified by the Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (CNMT) or Certified in nuclear medicine by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

We have an advanced Executive Wellness Program and six operating rooms, including three hybrid ORs. Our three catheterization labs and electrophysiology services serve the city of Austin. We are home to one of the largest non-academic cardiovascular research programs in the world.
