Job Title: Lead Electrical Engineer

Wright-Pierce, a leading environmental engineering firm, is seeking a licensed Lead Electrical Engineer to join our team in Middletown, CT or Portland, ME. This role involves evaluating, designing, and constructing electrical systems for water/wastewater treatment, civil infrastructure, and industrial facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and design electrical systems for water/wastewater treatment, civil infrastructure, and industrial facilities.
  • Prepare technical documents, including memoranda, letters, reports, specifications, and submittal reviews.
  • Coordinate work with other design disciplines on multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Develop construction cost estimates.
  • Perform site inspections for studies, design, and construction projects.
  • Mentor and delegate to staff.
  • Monitor budget status for assigned projects.
  • Assist with proposal development efforts for select project pursuits.
Essential Functions:
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective personal organization and time management skills.
  • Able to build strong relationships with coworkers and clients.
  • Able to work efficiently and independently on multiple projects while meeting budgets and schedules.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Teams and Bluebeam.
  • Committed to continual learning.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
Requirements:
  • 15 years of electrical engineering experience; preferably in the water/wastewater field.
  • Working knowledge of the National Electric Code.
  • Familiarity with industrial control system narratives and P&IDs considered a plus.
  • Experience using Bluebeam required.
  • Experience using Revit/AutoCAD/ considered a plus.
Certifications:
  • Must be Registered Professional Engineer.
Education:
  • BS Degree in Electrical Engineering required.
  • MS Degree in Electrical Engineering considered a plus.
