Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as a Youth Career Development Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for recruiting and coordinating the arrival of applicants, developing partnerships with community agencies, and ensuring the integrity of student data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruit and coordinate the arrival of applicants, providing transitional support and placement services to exiting students.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with community agencies, employment services, and local businesses to inform prospective applicants about the Job Corps program.
- Conduct comprehensive screening procedures to determine applicants' eligibility for the Job Corps Program.
- Secure and evaluate applicants' behavioral, medical, and educational records.
- Conduct thorough assessment activities and career counseling during the admissions process.
- Serve as a Center Liaison to facilitate a seamless enrollment process and early student retention.
- Work closely with community agencies, employment services, high schools, trade and technical schools, and other agencies to inform prospective applicants about the Job Corps program.
- Develop partnerships with community agencies and local businesses to develop and maintain referral linkages for prospective enrollments and post-training placement opportunities.
- Conduct Academy campus tours, pre-arrival visits, and Parent meetings.
- Produce quality work/assignments in a thorough, timely, and accurate manner.
- Maintain appropriate personal attendance, accountability, and work productivity standards.
- Understand and apply job knowledge to effectively complete all required job responsibilities and proactively maintain the skills required to perform job duties.
- Provide quality and timely information to the Department of Labor/Company when requested.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions:
This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The incumbent is expected to work one day out of the week from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM, contingent upon the Director's approval/need of the department.
Benefits:
- Yearly salary starting at $40,000, with ample room for negotiation based on qualifications and experience.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, communications, or a closely related field from an accredited school.
- Two years of related experience in youth programs.
- A valid in-State Driver's License and meeting Company insurability requirements.
